Ghannam Distributes Hearing Aids to Dozens of Beneficiaries, Restoring Hope to an Entire Family with Support from PalPay
In a step that brought renewed hope to dozens of people with hearing disabilities, the Governor of Ramallah and Al-Bireh, Dr. Laila Ghannam, distributed hearing aids to dozens of beneficiaries, with support from PalPay and a private benefactor.
A specialized medical team fitted the hearing aids for the beneficiaries on Wednesday at the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate headquarters, in the presence of PalPay General Manager Thaer Hamayel and the company’s Marketing Director, Rana Al-Hilu.
PalPay covered the cost and fitting of hearing aids for an entire family with hearing disabilities, in an initiative that restored hope to the family and enabled its children to hear for the first time.
Dr. Ghannam emphasized that the initiative is part of a series of charitable and humanitarian programs implemented by the Governorate throughout the year, aimed at strengthening the resilience of the Palestinian people, particularly persons with disabilities. These initiatives include providing electric wheelchairs, medical assistive devices, eyeglasses, and other essential support, especially amid the exceptional circumstances faced by the Palestinian people as a result of the ongoing Israeli occupation and its continued aggression.
Ghannam expressed her appreciation to PalPay and the benefactor, one of the Governorate’s private-sector partners and supporters, praising their genuine and active partnership with the Governorate in implementing a wide range of humanitarian and social initiatives.
For his part, Hamayel stated that the initiative reflects PalPay’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and forms part of the company’s longstanding partnership with the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate. He added that PalPay places particular importance on supporting persons with disabilities and contributing to initiatives that improve their quality of life.
It is worth noting that such initiatives are highlighted while fully preserving the dignity and privacy of beneficiaries, with the aim of encouraging individuals and institutions capable of providing support to contribute to similar efforts, helping ease the challenges faced by citizens and bringing hope and joy to their lives.
